The CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE to JT Translator is an interactive Design-In-Context solution for CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE users who need to work with ligthweight JT visualization data
The traditional approach to working with JT visualization data is to translate the JT data to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, using either a standard such as STEP AP203 or a direct database translator like CADverter. In doing so the original JT visualization data is converted to a CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE representation. This task is either carried out by members of the design team or alternatively undertaken by dedicated translation specialists.
Theorem Solutions has developed an interactive CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE solution for JT visualization data based upon the Dassault Systemes strategic XCAD technology (Multi-CAD). This enables the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user to interactively work with native JT parts and assemblies in an active CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE session. This is achieved by simply selecting the JT part or assembly to be inserted into CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE allowing the user to work with the JT data to perform Design Modification, Design-in-Context and Manufacturing activities.
