Hi! 

My name is Gina and I need your help.  For my college sociology
class, I am conducting a survey over the internet.  As you know
sociology is the systematic study of relationships among people.
This study often disproves stereotypes and common misconceptions
about people in our society.  My thesis in this project is that the
American people of the present are NOT necessarily "cheap".  This may
sound funny to you but think of how many times we may find ourselves
being "cheap", or at least accused of being cheap.  This has happened
to everyone of us at one time or another.  

This is your chance to help me disprove this misconception and help
me prove my thesis.  All I am asking for you to do is send me $1.00,
(in American Currency), to my group members' P. O. Box. This is a
survey conducted over 100 randomly picked people.  To successfully
prove my thesis I need a majority of responses,(over fifty), and I
will obtain an A on my project. 

Are we too cheap of a society to spend a total of $1.32 to answer a
research project?  That is up to you and 99 other citizens to
answer.  You are very welcome to e-mail me at the end of the semester
to see the results of this experiment and learn more about the
society we live in.  The proceeds received will go directly to
"enhance" my groups college experience, ( at least I'm being honest).
